If you are a Skype for Windows 10 user and you do not receive notifications, this is the tutorial you were looking for since we indicate how to solve this problem and thus get to receive them again:
How to fix the problem that prevents us from receiving Skype notifications on your Windows 10 computer
1) The first thing you will have to do is check that you are logged into your Skype account. Although it seems something really simple, the truth is that in many cases we assume that we have started a session in Skype and yet for some reason we have closed a session.
2) If you are logged in, you should also make sure that the notification for conversations is activated. You can check this by clicking on the name of the chat or the chat user and going to: Chat Settings> Notifications. The switch for that option must be activated.
3) Check your Skype status as we have several to choose from. The different statuses available in Skype are: Active, Away, Busy and Invisible. If your status is set to Busy, Skype will not send notifications under any circumstances. Therefore you must change your status. Specifically, the best state will be Active or Absent.
4) Check that notifications are activated. One of the reasons for the problem with Skype notifications is simply having notifications turned off. To check: Click on the icon in the form of three ellipsis and then select the option: Settings. Go to the Notifications section from which you will have specific control of all types of notifications in Skype. Here you will have to make sure that these are activated.
5) Another aspect that can negatively influence notifications is the concentration assistant (Focus Assist) that can affect many applications installed in Windows 10. To make sure that it is deactivated you will have to click on the Activities center located on the right from the taskbar. This will open the side menu in which you will have to check that the icon that says: Activity Center is gray, which means that it is disabled.
6) Finally, check that Windows 10 notifications are not disabled to check it, you will have to open the Windows 10 configuration app and go to: System> Notifications and actions.
