Windows 10 is an operating system for computers that receives frequent updates in order to improve the user experience. There are more important updates that incorporate new functions and tools and that make that every time your computer restarts after the update, Windows 10 shows you a kind of guided tour about the new functions incorporated in the update that you just installed.

When we install a Windows 10 update, the first time you start your computer, what is known as: Welcome experience will be displayed. This is nothing more than several pages displayed similar to a slide show.

Windows 10 sometimes opens a Tips window to show you what’s new in the operating system as part of a “Welcome Experience” after an update. If you find this annoying, it’s easy to turn it off.

These screens basically welcome you to the new version or update of Windows 10 that you just installed. They will also show you detailed information about the new functions or options that have been included with said update.

Many users may think that this information is relevant and useful, however a vast majority think that it is not necessary to display this information and that all it does is slow down the first login after updating the Windows 10 operating system.

Fortunately, Windows 10 offers the ability to disable the Welcome Experience so that they are not displayed at login and operating system startup after updating:

How to disable the welcome experience after Windows 10 updates.

1. Make use of the keyboard shortcut: Windows key + I

2. This will open the Setting Windows 10.

3. Here you will have to go to the option: System.

4. In the new screen, on the left side, you will have to go to the section: Notifications and Actions.

5. Now, in the main part of the screen you will have to scroll down until you find the option:

Show me the Windows welcome experience after updates and when I log in for what’s new and tips.

6. Uncheck the box next to that configuration option.

And voila, from now on, when your computer restarts after a Windows 10 update, the welcome screens that show information about the new features added will not be displayed.
