This backup at the beginning could only be stored directly in Google Photos, however now Facebook has added other options such as Dropbox.

This can be worrisome if you do not have a backup of these elements since in case Facebook decides to delete or block your account, you may lose access to these files that can have a high personal and emotional content.
Facebook’s data transfer tool now allows you to transfer your photos and videos to Dropbox. This means that you do not have to manually download all the albums to later upload them back to the cloud to your Dropbox account.
This function of transferring photos and videos from Facebook directly to the Dropbox cloud is available from the Web version of Facebook as well as from the official apps for Android or iPhone.
It should be noted that although the procedure is somewhat quick and simple, the truth is that the final transfer may take some time to complete. The time it takes to transfer photos from Facebook to Dropbox will depend on the number of photos, images, and videos you have on your Facebook profile.

How to transfer a backup of Facebook photos and videos to Dropbox from your iPhone or Android.
1. Open the Facebook app on your iPhone or Android.
2. Go to the menu (icon with three horizontal stripes) and select the option: Privacy Settings.
3. This will reveal a sub-menu in which you will have to click on: Setting.
4. In the new screen you will have to scroll down until you find and select: Transfer a copy of your photos or videos.
5. Now a security screen will be displayed in which you will have to verify your identity by entering the password for your Facebook account.
6. Here you will have to Choose the Destination: DropBox
7. This will reveal a new section in which you will have to choose between whether you want to transfer a copy of your Videos or Photos (You can’t do it at the same time)
8. When everything is configured to your liking, you will have to click on the blue button: Next
9. The next thing you will have to do is access your DropBox account using your username and password.
10. As is evident you will have to give the necessary permissions to proceed with the transfer of your photos and videos to your Dropbox account.
11. Finally, you will only have to select the blue button: Confirm Transfer.
12. Your transfer will run in the background and Facebook will notify you when your photos and / or videos have been moved successfully.
