Like most Internet services, Twitter updates its user interface relatively frequently. If it is true that sometimes the changes are almost negligible or only affect small details. However on other occasions the change is much more rooted and changes practically any aspect of the interface. This is precisely what is happening right now since Twitter is gradually introducing in its browser version, a radical change in its interface which is much more minimalist and similar to its mobile application.

In general, the design change in the Twitter interface is to improve the usability of its platform, however not all users are happy with these changes. Most of the complaints focus on how used the user is to the old version of Twitter.
This is not really a problem since in a few days the user usually gets used to the new interface perfectly. It’s just a matter of time!!!. However, there are many who want to go back to the old version of Twitter at all costs.
It should be noted that the new version of Twitter is not yet available to all users, but is being activated progressively and randomly by social network accounts around the world. However, this means that sooner or later all Twitter users will have the new Twitter interface on their device.
Another aspect to take into account is that although Twitter allows for the moment to return to the previous version of its social network (in the Web version), sooner or later it will end up forcing all its users to use the new version. So why not start using it now and adapt to it as quickly as possible?
NEW METHOD THAT WORKS IN THE FINAL PART OF THE ARTICLE !!!!
Whatever your preference, in this tutorial we want to show you the steps through which you can return to the previous version of Twitter in your Web browser:
Like going back to the old Twitter design. (old version of Twitter)
– Open your Web browser and access your Twitter account with your login: https://twitter.com
– Once inside, click on the profile photo, which will cause a menu to open.
– In this menu you will have to click on the option: Switch to the previous version of Twitter (Switch to legacy Twitter).
This will automatically take you to the old version of Twitter, which you are so used to using. However, it may happen that this option does not appear in the menu of your Twitter account. If this is your case, you will have to use the alternative option.
Alternative:
In the event that your Twitter account does not have the option to return to the previous version of the social network, in this case you will have to use the following link: https://twitter.com/i/optout
Once you have accessed this URL, a small window will appear in which you will have to select the option: Change to the Previous.
This will make the Twitter interface reappear as it used to for the past few years.
NEW METHOD: How to go back to the old version of Twitter.
The aforementioned methods, unfortunately, no longer work, so after much searching, we have found another way to reverse the new Twitter design so that it will be displayed as it did until now. You can do this thanks to a free extension that is available for both the Chrome browser and Firefox.
Therefore, the first of all will be to download and install the extension in your Web browser, this can be done from the following links:
– Download and install Extension for old Twitter design for Google Chrome.
– Download and install Extension for old Twitter design for Mozilla Firefox.
Once the extension is installed in your web browser, you will need to access the Twitter website. Now you will see how the interface of the social network is shown as it used to do before the implementation of the new design.
