Privacy matters, and a lot in the digital age in which we find ourselves. Practically any online service, Web, electronic device with an internet connection or even video games, try to collect information about you, about your habits and about the way in which you interact. For example, the popular video game Apex Legends that belongs to EA, collects information about your device with the excuses of providing and improving products and services.

Many users when they install a video game on their computer, whether it is PC Xbox or PS4, usually start playing directly without first observing all the options, functions and configuration of the video game itself. This is what can happen, for example, with the new Apex Legends video game, since if we pay attention, we will realize that by default the option: Information Exchange is activated.
The description of this option is somewhat vague and leaves quite open the type and amount of information that is exchanged between the user and EA through the Apex Legends video game. The description indicates the following:
“Exchange of Use Information.
EA collects data from your device to provide and improve products and services, dynamically update software and content, provide product support, communicate with you, and personalize your experience with EA. To limit the collection of data from your device to what is necessary to operate the game, disable the sharing of usage information on your device. Disabling the Share option may cause loss of functionality. “
As you can read, the type of information they collect is not indicated exactly, but they also try to “scare” the player with the threat of loss of functionality in Aplex Legends.
Fortunately, the Apex Legends video game allows you to disable EA’s data collection on your PC, Xbox, and PS4. Here’s how to do it:
How to improve privacy in Apex Legends by disabling the “Information Sharing” feature on PS4, PC or Xbox.
All you have to do is run the Apex Legends video game on your PC, PS4 or Xbox and go to the lobby. Once here you will have to access the video game settings by clicking on the gear-shaped icon located in the lower right corner of the screen.
This will cause a gray screen to appear with the only option to: Settings in which you will have to click.
Now you will be located in the configuration screen where you will have to go to the section: Game. In this section you will see how the last option will be: Usage Information Exchange. You will see how the function by default is set to YES. In our case we must configure it as NO.
From this moment EA will stop receiving personal information and your gaming habits.
