However, some annoying players can still distract you and annoy you when they are paired in the same squad as you, since in addition to voice chat Apex Legends has a marking system thanks to which you can indicate to the other members of the squad the place where any object, weapon or even the place where you want the squad to go.
When any member of your squad marks a weapon or location item, by default Apex Legeds will emit a voiced phrase to capture the attention of the other squad members. The truth is that the function is quite useful, however it can also be used by other users in an abusive way in order to disturb the departure of other members of the platoon.
Fortunately, if this happens, Apex Legends also incorporates the function to mute the markers of any of the members of your squad, in a very similar way to how the microphone of any member of the squad is muted in voice chat.

As with the microphone mute, it should be noted that we can only silence the video game markers from the moment the game begins until the moment we win the game or are eliminated. In this way, from the moment we are in the ship to jump to the island we will have to access the Apex Legends inventory screen. To do this we will have to press the “TAB” key on PC, the “Options” button on PS4 or the “Menu” button on Xbox.
This will take us to the inventory screen, however in our case we will have to scroll to the platoon section by clicking on the tab at the top of the interface. Once on the squad screen, all the members of our team will be shown and just below each of their characters you will find the marker button just to the right of the voice chat icon.
Here we will only have to click to see how the marker is deactivated. Once deactivated, you can start playing Apex Legends without the muted member playing the sound of those markers. If during the game you regret this setting, you can activate it again at any time as well as deactivate it again if you consider it necessary.
