How to activate and use dark mode on Facebook.

The dark mode in the interfaces of online applications and services is in fashion due to several factors and the indisputable advantages. A dark theme for example on Facebook allows you for example to save battery life on your mobile or laptops. Another advantage of having the dark mode on Facebook is the improvement of the visualization when we use our mobile or computer in dark or dimly lit places.

Unfortunately for the moment, Facebook has not incorporated dark mode to its application or web version. This is why, if we want to enjoy dark mode on Facebook, we must use modified apps or extensions for our browser that allow us to activate and use dark mode on our Facebook profile.

At the moment Facebook only officially allows the use of dark mode in the Messenger app but not in the social network, whether it is the App or the Web version for the browser. This does not mean that you cannot enjoy the Dark theme on Facebook, in fact, below we will show you a detailed guide thanks to which you will be able to enjoy the black interface of Facebook in your computer’s Web browser or in the Facebook mobile app to Android. How to activate and use dark mode on Facebook Web (Chrome or Firefox)

1) Install the Stylish extension for both your browser: Chrome or Firefox.

– For Chrome: Stylish – tailored themes for every website

– For Firefox: Stylish – custom themes for every website

2) Once the extension is installed, we notice how the icon with the letter S appears on the right side of the address bar. This means that the Stylish extension works correctly. Now we need to install a black theme for Facebook.

– Install Facebook Dark Mode for Stylish.

3) After clicking the button: Install With Stylish, the Dark Facebook Theme will be installed in your web browser.

4) From now on, you just have to access Facebook to see how the interface of this social network changes completely and now a combination of dark tones (black and gray) is shown instead of White and Blue.

If in the future we want to remove the dark theme from Facebook, just uninstall Stylish. In turn, if we want to replace it with some other way, you can uninstall the style without removing the complement. To do this, go to Facebook and then click the S icon (the Stylish extension) in the browser toolbar. This will display a list of active styles for the site you are currently on (In this case Facebook). Next to the dark Facebook style you will see the “Delete” button that you will have to click.

Firefox that is responsible for activating Facebook’s Dark Mode, however, after using them, we can say that the method with Stylish works much more correctly than the following extensions:

How to activate and use dark mode in the Facebook app for Android.

As we have mentioned, currently, the official Facebook app does not yet allow the activation and use of dark mode. This is the reason why if we want to use the dark mode in the Facebook app for Android, we will have to make use of the modified APK that incorporates the dark interface by default.

For this we will have to download the Facebook APK with a black interface, which you can do from the following link:

Once downloaded to your Android device, you must open the APK to proceed with its installation. It should be noted that before installing the Facebook APP modified with the dark theme, you must uninstall the official Facebook app.

Once the Facebook app with dark mode is installed, you must open it and log in with your user account. Now you will see how the Facebook interface is shown in black and white instead of Blue and white.
