Disable comments on group post and Facebook page

Facebook is a social network par excellence. It has millions of users and to be honest, not all of them have good intentions. Facebook has a huge number of trolls who are dedicated to insulting or boycotting certain publications within the social network. The field most used by trolls is the comments of the publications, therefore, many users prefer to deactivate the comments of their publications.

However, sometimes we want to completely prevent a specific publication from being commented. This configuration does not have to be carried out at the time of publication, but can be done afterwards.

This allows you to make publications in which comments are allowed, and in case of detecting trolls activity, you can decide to deactivate the comments on said post so that no Facebook user, friends or not, can comment on it. However, it should be noted that this function of deactivating post comments is only available for Facebook Groups and Pages.

When we deactivate the comments of a publication, only the possibility of making comments is deactivated, the publication can continue to be seen, read and even if it is a link, it can continue to be accessed.

Having said this, below we show you step by step how to completely deactivate comments on one of your Facebook posts:

How to disable comments on a post made on a Facebook group or page.

1. Access Facebook and log into your account.

2. Make a publication or locate one of the publications already made.

3. Click the three-dot icon in the upper right corner of the post.

4. When the drop-down menu is displayed, you will have to select the option: Disable comments.

5. From this moment on, nobody will be able to comment on said post.

6. If at any time you decide to activate them again you will only have to repeat the same operation but in this case the option to choose will be: Activate comments.

Important note: Please note that you can only disable comments if the post has been made by you or if you are the admin of the group / page.
