1. Open the Telegram app.

2. Click on the tab: Setting.

3. Here you will have to go to: Data and Storage.

4. On this screen you will have to locate the section: Multimedia self-download.

5. Here you will have two options to configure: With mobile data and with Wi-Fi.

6. Select both options and proceed to disable the option switches: Multimedia Autodownload.

Important note: Both options can be downloaded separately, that is, allow or not the download of multimedia files whether connected to a local or mobile network. Or even disable both.

From now on when you receive an image or video, it will not be saved to the gallery or roll of your Android phone or iPhone. However, these will still be available in the Telegram app chat. You should also know that this setting will not affect photos or videos that have already been saved locally on your mobile device.
