Undoubtedly, one of the demands of many Apple MacOS users, whether MacBook or iMac, is the ability to always display the operating system menu bar when we open any program or window in full screen. Until now, Apple has not heard this claim and every time you open a program or window in full screen, the menu bar will be hidden automatically.

The excuse that Apple offers users is that when we open a window or program in MacOS, it is a “real” full screen, that is, there should not be any other element of the operating system that overlaps the content or interface of the window or program that you currently have open in Full Screen.
The truth is that the function “maximize” a window on Apple’s MacBook or iMac is really useful when we want to make projections, demonstrations on external screens, etc. This allows you to display only the content you want, without distractions or other non-relevant operating system elements.
However, users who work with Apple devices running MacOS and therefore perform a large number of actions even between windows and programs, prefer to have much more direct access to the Menu bar instead of having to hover the mouse cursor over the top of the screen.
Although at the moment Apple does not allow menu bar display when the program or window is maximized to full screen. The truth is that there are several tricks thanks to which you can have the menu bar always visible at the same time that the desired application or window is displayed in “full screen” or maximized.
Here’s how to do it:
How to show the MacOS menu bar always visible when we maximize a window, application or program on MacBook or iMac (With Dock).
The closest thing to working on MacOS with full screen but with the menu bar always visible will be the semi-manual maximization of the desired window or program. To do this, you will only have to double click on the title bar of the window or program (upper frame of the window)
This will automatically place the window just below the menu bar on your Mac screen. If the program window is not displayed in full screen, you will have to adjust the edges of it, to the screen of your MacBook or iMac. You can repeat this operation with all the open windows and programs with which you are currently working.
Now, when you select any of the windows or programs from the Dock of your Mac, you will see how the windows are always displayed in full screen but with the menu bar always visible at the top of the screen of your Apple device.
Important note: It should be noted that this window in full screen with the Dock always visible, will always leave a free space visible to the right and left of the Dock. If you want the window or program to be shown occupying the entire lower part of the screen of your Mac at the same time that the menu bar, you will have to perform the steps of the next method.
How to always show the menu bar visible when we use the full screen of windows or programs on Mac with OSX. (Without Dock)
The previously described method may not be to the liking of all users since maximizing the window will not occupy the lower part of the screen since it is occupied by the operating system’s Dock. Therefore, to achieve a greater maximization of the indicated window or program, we must configure our Dock so that it is automatically hidden and displayed when we have the mouse cursor over the bottom of the screen.
If you don’t know how to hide and show the Dock automatically, we recommend that you follow the steps indicated in the following link: How to make the MacOS Dock hide and show automatically.
In this way, using the previously indicated method, the window or program will occupy the entire screen of your MacBook or iMac with MacOS but always leaving the Menu bar from the top of Apple computer.
