As we have mentioned, this function is only available in the new update of Google Maps for iOS. When it is updated, you will have to open the Google Maps application to line followed by clicking on the icon in the form of three horizontal stripes located in the search field.
This will reveal a menu on the side of the screen. Here you will have to click on the gear-shaped icon. Now a list of Settings corresponding to Google Maps will be revealed. On this screen you must scroll down until you find the section Assistance.
