Google tries to get its users to collaborate with the company, in the search for errors and opinions about its services such as Google Maps. The problem is that most users when they receive the message in which you have to accept the sending of these reports, they prefer to close it instead of contributing. This is generally due to the fact that users are suspicious when sharing information about their usage habits, etc.
To improve the amount of information that Google Maps receives from users, it has just included a function that is activated by default in the app for iPhone and iPad. This function that allows you to send error reports and opinions just by shaking your iOS device. This can cause many users to finally send reports and improvements on Google Maps, basically by mistake.
If you do not want to prevent information from your Google Maps application from being sent by mistake when shaking your iPhone or iPad with iOS, below we will show you step by step how to do it:
How to disable the Shake function to send comments on Google Maps.
As we have mentioned, this function is only available in the new update of Google Maps for iOS. When it is updated, you will have to open the Google Maps application to line followed by clicking on the icon in the form of three horizontal stripes located in the search field.
This will reveal a menu on the side of the screen. Here you will have to click on the gear-shaped icon. Now a list of Settings corresponding to Google Maps will be revealed. On this screen you must scroll down until you find the section Assistance.
In this section you will find the option: Shake to send feedback. Here you will have to deactivate the switch corresponding to that option. From this moment on, Google Maps will not allow the sending of error reports and comments to Google just by shaking your iPhone or iPad.
