If you are a user of an Android device, you will know that to install applications officially, you must use the Google Play store. Each application available on Google Play has screenshots and a description with which to inform you before proceeding to download and install them. Well, now descriptive videos of the app are also included on Google Play.

Although without a doubt the incorporation of videos in the descriptions of Google Play apps is something really good for users since they will know many of the features of the app before downloading it, the truth is that these videos are not suitable for everyone.
Keep in mind that the videos shown in the apps within Google Play by default will be played automatically, which means that if you use a data package, it will be consumed more quickly. Also, you have to bear in mind that the automatic playback of descriptive videos of the apps within Google Play can be uncomfortable if we are in a quiet place or in a meeting.
Fortunately, Google Play offers the possibility of deactivating the automatic playback of the videos displayed within Google Play. If you want to deactivate this function, below we show you how to do it step by step:
How to disable Auto Video Playback on Android Google Play.
– Unlock your Android device and open the Google Play app.
– Once here you will have to click on the icon with three horizontal stripes shown on the left side of the Google Play search.
– This will open a menu on the left side of the screen in which we will have to select the option: Settings.
– When we are in Settings go to the section: General.
– It will be then when we have on our device the Configuration of the option: Play Videos Automatically.
– After selecting this option, a window will appear in which you can choose between 3 adjustment options:
- Play Videos Automatically Always: This adjustment may lead to data consumption of your plan.
- Play Videos automatically over Wi-Fi only: It does not represent an expense in your data plan since they will only be reproduced when you are connected to a Wi-Fi network, however the annoyances in silent places are not always solved.
- Don’t play videos automatically: If what we want is that videos are never played, then this is the option we will have to select.
– When deactivating the option of automatic reproduction of videos in Google Play you will have to select the option: Done.
From now on, the Google Play videos will not be played automatically and thus benefit from a lower data consumption as well as avoid disturbing the sound of the descriptive videos.
