How to autocomplete users and passwords on Android

November 27, 2020 by whyisdown Leave a Comment

The autofill service is an Android feature that manages the communication between applications and the autofill service on your device. Like password managers, which fill in information in other applications with the data that was previously provided, auto-fill services eliminate the time and error prone when completing forms or logins to Web services or applications .

The truth is that it can be quite frustrating to have to fill out different forms all the time in different applications, which is why Android’s autofill feature improves this experience.

On Android, the autocomplete function uses Google’s password management service to enter your username and password in applications installed on your mobile device, although it will also work with other password management applications. Unfortunately this Autofill feature is only available from Android 8.0 or higher.

Here is a detailed guide on how to activate and use the username and password autocomplete function on Android:

How to activate the User and Password auto-complete function on Android

1) Open the settings app on Android 8.0 phone

2) Go to the General Administration (or System) option.
